NOTES PROVIDED IN THE ERLENKOTTER FAMILY RECORDS:

"The AUSTIN family Bible, which has been transcribed by the DAR, names Nathan WESTCOTT and Isabel GRINALS [sic] as the parents of Johannah WESCOAT."

"On 12 January 1818 George AUSTIN and his wife Hannah [sic] of Farmington, Ontario County, NY sold to Elisha GARDNER of the same town for $100 one undivided tenth part of about 52 acres in lot 89 and about 38 acres in the southeast part of lot 104 in Farmington, their share by heirship from Nathan WESCOAT, deceased. On 13 January 1818 Johannah AUSTIN and Stephen ACKLEY, a subscribing witness to the indenture, appeared, and the deed was affirmed and recorded [Ontario County Deed Records, Book 59, p. 284]."
