NOTES PROVIDED IN THE ERLENKOTTER FAMILY RECORDS:

"On 1 November 1819 James WESCOAT of Fallowfield Township, Crawford County, PA sold to Nathan K. POUND of Farmington, Ontario County, NY for $110 one undivided tenth part of about 52 acres in lot 89 and about 38 acres in the southeast part of lot 104 in Farmington, received in inheritance from his father Nathan WESCOAT, deceased [Ontario County Deed Records, Book 41, p. 84]. On 14 August 1827 Nathan K. POUND quitclaimed this property to Elisha W. GARDNER of Farmington [Ontario County Deed Records, Book 59, pp. 282-283]."

"James WAISTCOT is listed as a head of family in the 1820 census at Fallowfield, Crawford County, PA. He appears just after his father-in-law, William BROOKS, and on the same census page as Humphry DENNEY, Amaziah WASCOT [sic], Gidion GRINDLE, and George AUSTIN."
