"LOUISE CLARK-HOSFORD, Daughter of Dr. and Mrs. CLARK, wife of R. W. HOSFORD, Passes Away. The following obituary notice has been received at this office: Ogden, February 7, 1902. Died, at the home of her father, Dr. Orson CLARK, Friday morning, Jan 31, 1902, Louise CLARK-HOSFORD, eldest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Orson CLARK, and wife of R. W. HOSFORD of Dubuque aged twenty-four years and fourteen days. Deceased has been a great sufferer since Sept. 1899, much of the time being perfectly helpless. She so far recovered the past summer as to be carried to a carriage and ride out occasionally which greatly encouraged her friends. Since early winter she had failed rapidly, still she was hopeful and at the time of her death was expecting soon to go with her husband and a nurse, to Buffalo N. Y. for treatment. She was always cheerful and patient and still looking forward to the time when she would be able to return to her own home. All that loving hands and hearts and abundant means could do was done for her help and comfort. She became much worse the early part of last week, and had been unconscious since Wednesday evening. Her bereaved husband did not reach her bedside until life had fled. Other members of her family were present. One little daughter two years old is left motherless, while husband, parents, four brothers and one sister are left to mourn her loss. Funeral services will held Sabbath morning at the Congregational church, of which she was a member, conducted by the pastor Rev. STODDARD. A large company of sorrowing friends were present. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. She was laid to rest in Glenwood. Mr. HOSSFORD, Sr. and a niece from Dubuque and William CLARK and wife of Ames were in attendance. The warmest sympathies of the entire community, among whom the deceased had spent almost her whole life, go out to the stricken relatives, especially to the young husband who was not privileged to be with her in her last hours. May our Heavenly Father comfort and sustain them in this trying hour of sorrow."
