Notes

Updated January 17, 2015. Compiled by Howder (www.howderfamily.com) from the following source(s):

Children in the household are Josephine, William, Clairie E., and Ellen Stafford. Charles (age 24) and Elizabeth STAFFORD (age 19) are also residents, but their relationship to Ananias STAFFORD is unknown at this point.

(4) 1870 United States Census for Michigan, Shiawassee Co., Perry (Perry Post Office): page 3; dwelling 36; family 35; August 26, 1870.

Mary E. (DICKERSON) SPALDING is married to Alexander SPALDING, head of household. She was born in New York, is 37 years old and is keeping house. There are two older children in their 20's probably from an earlier marriage of Alexander SPALDING, but the census record is too difficult to read. Additionally two of Mary's children from her previous marriage are included in the household, Josephine and William STAFFORD. Alexander and Mary's daughter Minna, age 2, is also listed.
