"This firm name is one well known in Ogden and throughout Boone County. The members are father and two sons, who have become widely and favorably known in connection with the practice of medicine and the sale of remedial agencies...

The Doctor was married in Wisconsin on the 1st of September, 1868, to miss Emma SYLVESTER, a native of Maine, and a daughter of Caleb SYLVESTER, who on removing westward located in the Badger state, where he spent his remaining days. Unto the Doctor and his wife have been born six children…Charles, a practicing physician, was born here July 9, 1871, and is a graduate of the University of Iowa of the class of 1893. In 1897 he was married to Mamie McFARLAND at Gilbert Station, Iowa, and they have one child living, James A.; Cedric died at age of fourteen months, February 28, 1901..."
