(7) NOTES FOR FURTHER RESEARCH: No Mackay family matches for Lapeer Co., Michigan. However in neighboring St. Clair Co., Berlin Twp., there appears a family that seems to match in many respects. The following composite based on the 1880, 1900 and 1910 Census does nto establish proof of relationship to the Mary E. Dickerson listed in this record, but should be considered an outline for further research.

Mary E. Mackay/Mackie (b. 1848 in Michigan, with her father from New Jersey, mother from New York) ; m. abt 1877 to John Mackay (b. 1847 in Michigan, parents from Scotland); Farmer. Children include Flora B. (b. 1878), John F. (b. 1881), Luly Gene (b. 1883), May Alvina (b. 1887), and Bessie S. (b. 1889) Mackay/Mackie.
