I have visited Glacier Brewhouse,
in the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, USA.

Brewery/Brewpub Location Map

Reason for Visit: I was in Anchorage, Alaska on business the first time I visited the Glacier Brewhouse and some of the other local brewpubs and microbreweries a few years ago. It was the middle of summer and it was during that time of year when it never got totally dark. I returned for another round more recently as a tourist, using Anchorage as a launching point for an extended visit to the Kenai Peninsula, and to conduct a more complete survey of local beer options.

Glacier Brewhouse Exterior Brewpub Exterior. This is my photo of the Glacier Brewhouse, which isn't too dissimilar to the Google Maps image. Anchorage has a city feel but not in an overwhelming sense. The downtown is actually rather compact and the Glacier Brewhouse is easy to find within the central core. It's an easy walk from most of the downtown hotels especially when it's summer and it remains light outside until the wee hours of the morning.
Glacier Brewhouse Exterior Brewpub Kitchen. Glacier Brewhouse has been packed with patrons both times I've visited, several years apart. We even got arrived fairly early on some random weekday and just barely got a table without a wait. They were practically turning people away by the time we left because of the line that had been formed to wait for tables. They have one of those open kitchens that can be seen from the dining room, and the cooks are hopping as they keep up with the demands of a full house.
Glacier Brewhouse Shirt Back of Shirt. I picked up a shirt during my visit. This Glacier Brewhouse logo appears across the entire back of the shirt. The central image features the initials "GB" in an oval flanked by barley stalks and hop cones. The text reads, "The Brewhouse / Fresh Brewed Ales and Lagers / Anchorage Alaska. A similar although smaller logo appears on the front on the upper left portion of the shirt. The shirt itself is a long-sleeved, pullover, turtleneck.
Glacier Brewhouse Exterior Brewhouse Pints. I didn't get any logo pint glasses but I made a half-hearted effort to photograph a full pint on our table. This one is the Oatmeal Stout. Honestly, I was still really jet lagged at this point and I wasn't thinking clearly. Two beers was about all I could handle before I had to return to the hotel and get some sleep. I promise to do a better job next time but I was on the first day of a 4-hour time difference after a full day of travel during this attempt.
