Her sons Thomas, Samuel, John, Seth, and Barnabas, were men who held high rank in society. The late Chief Justice Nathaniel CHIPMAN, L. L. D., was her grandson. She died Jan'y 8, 1742-3, aged nearly 80."

Samuel CHIPMAN was a son of John CHIPMAN, and was born Apr. 15, 1661. (Barn V. R. May. Desc. IV 121) He died in 1723, aged 63, and his widow Sarah Jany. 8, 1742-3, aged 79 years."
