This is still speculative and requires further research, but it is known that many members of the extended Sylvester family moved to Wisconsin. The Slyvester family tombstone lists several individuals including a Chester Sylvester (who may be the brother of Caleb), and the notation "Natives of Maine." He is recorded as "Chester Died Oct. 2 1864 Aged 55-5." The year of birth agrees with the other source listed above.
