I was born in the Town of Clarkson, County of Monroe, State of New York on the 26th day of August 1884. I am the son of Adelbert P. CHAPMAN born Aug. 6, 1848, died Sept. 1, 1920, and his wife Evalyn Elizabeth EDMUNDS born May 17, 1859, died ----, married Nov. 8, 1883. (2) grandson of William Jackson EDMUNDS born Oct. 24, 1834, died Dec. 4, 1918, and his wife Luania WADSWORTH born Feb. 26, 1837, died Mch. 3, 1882, married Oct. 8, 1857. In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this 23 day of May in the year of our Lord 1841."
