I was born in the Town of Clarkson, County of Monroe, State of New York on the 26th day of August 1884. I am the son of Adelbert P. CHAPMAN born Aug. 6, 1848, died Sept. 1, 1920, and his wife Evalyn Elizabeth EDMUNDS born May 17, 1859, died ----, married Nov. 8, 1883. (2) grandson of William Jackson EDMUNDS born Oct. 24, 1834, died Dec. 4, 1918, and his wife Luania WADSWORTH born Feb. 26, 1837, died Mch. 3, 1882, married Oct. 8, 1857. - Wednesday, February 22, 1893, page 4: "The funeral of Lewis EDMUNDS was held from his late residence in Sweden at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. The burial took place at the Brockport cemetery. Deceased was 94 years of age and one of Sweden's oldest residents."

"Lewis EDMUNDS late of the Town of Sweden in the County of Monroe and state of New York, died on the 17th day of February 1893, leaving a Last Will and Testament, dated the 10th day of October 1885."
