"JOHN CARR. Born in Newport, R. I. about 1664; Died in Newport, R. I. 1714; Married Waite EASTON. She was the daughter of Peter and Ann (COGGESHALL) EASTON and was born in Newport on Nov. 5, 1668. She died in that same city on Aug. 1725."

"Waite EASTON was a granddaughter of the beloved Colonial Governor, Nicholas EASTON. Both she and John are buried in the family lot in Newport. John evidently willed all of his property to his son Samuel with instructions as to its disposal... John and Waite had eight children. The eldest and youngest lived but short lives. The first John dying on June 5, 1694 and Joshua on Mrs. 25, 1703. All six of the maturing children married but three are not known to have had children... Ann mar. on Jan. 18, 1709. Her husband was Caleb BARKER of Scituate. Francis was married to Hannah WEEDEN on Feb. 24, 1720. Patinece was twice married. Her first husband was Joseph PECKHAM. Her second was Edward EDES (or ESTES) whom she married on Aug. 27, 1730. Following are the eight children of John and Waite: ... John... Ann... Samuel... Caleb... John... Francis... Patience... Joshua..."
