Reason for Visit: We were taking a drive around much of Lake Michigan. One of the places we stopped was Door County, which is located on the thumb of Wisconsin that juts out into Lake Michigan. This peninsula is spectacular, although somewhat crowded when the weather is nice because it's not too far from Milwaukee and especially Green Bay.

Coaster: This coaster probably explains how the shipwreck happened. A sea captain framed by a ship's steering wheel holds a mug of ale, spilling some of it out the side. He looks pretty bleary-eyed, too. Want to bet he ran the ship aground after a few too many tankards? The captain's loss is our gain, though. This is the only brewpub on Wisconsin's Door Peninsula. |
