"Herman KANT. WATERTOWN -- Herman KANT, 85, died Friday (May 29, 1970) in a hospital after a long illness. He was a Watertown resident since 1919. He married Hattie ZIMMERMANN in 1907. Mr. KANT was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. E. R. THUSIUS, St. Charles, Ill., and Mrs. Harry GRANT, Watertown; a sister, Mrs. Newton COX, Juneau; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the church. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday and until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Hafemeister Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church."
