"Mercy [COBB], 9th April, 1685... The four daughters last named [which include Mercy] had shares in the estate of their father at the settlement made in 1696. Their mother married in 1698, Jonathan SPARROW, Esq., of Eastham, and these daughters probably removed to that town with her. Mercy was May 24, 1701, a witnes to the will of Miriam WING of Harwich. At the proof of the will Jan'y 8, 1702-3, she is called 'now Mercy SPARROW'."
