"Mrs. Benjamin F. HOWDER. The death of Mrs. Mary PIERCE HOWDER of this village, wife of Benjamin F. HOWDER, occurred on Saturday, February 9, 1935, at the home of her cousin Mrs. Jennie LeVAN of Lockport, with whom they were spending the winter. She was ill but a few days, suffering a severe shock on Tuesday and passing away on Saturday without recovering consciousness. Mrs. HOWDER was born seventy-three years ago in the town of Sweden and had always resided in this village or vicinity. She was the only child of the late Horace G. and Lovisa LORD PIERCE. She is survived by her husband and a number of cousins. Funeral services were held from the Merrill funeral home on Geddes Street in this village Tuesday afternoon, with interment in Hillside Cemetery. Rev. A. Ernest FRANCIS, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Holley, of which Mrs. HOWDER had been a member for many years, conducted the services."
