"Funeral Held for Mrs. HULL Sunday. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the family residence for Mrs. Ada HULL, 88, who passed away at her home on College Street Saturday following an illness of several months. The Rev. C. L. HALL, pastor of the First Baptist Church was the officiating minister and funeral arrangements were in charge of Hawthorne Funeral Home. Interment was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery with George STITCHER, George DAVIS, George Y. BOUNDS, James BREWSTER, Clarence WROTEN, and Dick BERRY as pallbearers. Mrs. HULL was born in Trinity County Dec. 6, 1868. She had been a resident of Carthage, however, for many years. She was married to Judge T. F. HULL, member of a prominent Carthage family. She was one of the early photographers and operated a studio upstairs in the building now occupied by the Carthage Drug Company. The ground floor housed a jewelry store owned by her brother-in-law, W. T. ALSTON. Surviving are her two sisters, Mrs. Jennie ALSTON and Mrs. Gussie HOOKER, both of Carthage and a number of nieces and nephews."
