Includes death certificate and obituary from unknown newspaper: "Sad Indeed. Mrs. Jennie CUMMINS, wife of prosecuting attorney A. M. CUMMINS, died at her home in the city last Tuesday afternoon of diphtheria. She had been ailing for two weeks with a throat difficulty, but it was not discovered to be diphtheria until last Saturday, when the house was quarantined. Mrs. CUMMINS was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl OSBORNE of Dansville and was a very bright and popular young lady whose friends were legion. She leaves behind a little daughter nearly three years of age. Many friends of Mr. and Mrs. CUMMINS deeply regret her departure and that they were not permitted to be present and ofter consolation in the trying hour. Her remains were interred in Maple Grove by a few friends on the afternoon following her death, the quarantine preventing a public service. She was but 29 years of age and her untimely death has saddened the whole community. The physicians say that her death was the result of paralysis of the heart which followed diphtheria, as she was recovering nicely from the throat difficulty, the swelling and membrane having nearly disappeared."
