"Funeral Held Monday -- The funeral of the late William HEROLD was held Monday afternoon at the home, on the west road, three miles from the city and quite largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. H. C. REHM, pastor of the Congregational church, who spoke feely and eloquently of the other life, the deathless life which is eternal. The interment was in Oak Hill cemetery but the indestructible man was not there, only the shadow, the mortal casket in which the soul had tabernacled for fifty-one years. The departed was a quiet, industrious man, who by industry and frugality has secured a home for himself and family. He was a kind husband and father, a good neighbor and citizen, respected by all who knew him. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and well like by the members of that organization."
