"Eleazer, born 30th March, 1648. He was admitted as a townsman Dec. 1678, when he was 24, indicating that he was then unmarried. He was of Barnstable in 1703, and as he had only 12 1-2 shares in the common lands, the presumption is that he was not then a householder. It does not appear that he had a family. His death is not recorded, and the settlement of his estate is not entered on the probate records. It may be, but is not probable, that he was the Eleazer whom Mr. Pratt says settled in Hingham."
