"NICHOLAS NICKERSON-4 (William-3, Nicholas-2, William-1), born 19 March 1693-4 at Eastham, Mass.,... married 2 May 1722 at Chilmark, Martha's Vineyard, Mass., DEBORAH CHIPMAN, born 6 December 1704 at Barnstable, Mass.; daughter of John and Mary (SKIFF) CHIPMAN; died before 1756, when her second husband remarried. Nicholas and Deborah lived in Harwich, Mass. He was a seaman, and apparently was captured by pirates the month following their marriage. There were no children of this marriage. She brought suit to recover debts due his estate in 1724. Deborah married 2nd at Harwich 23 December 1726 SETH BANGS, born 29 July 1705; son of Samuel and Mary (HINCKLEY) BANGS. Seth married 2nd on January 4, 1756 THANKFUL STONE, born 2 March 1708-9; daughter of Nathaniel and Reliance (HINCKLEY) STONE. Children of Deborah and Seth BANGS, born at Harwich: i. Chipman, 20 June 1727; died 4 April 1750. ii. Solomon, 23 May 1729; married 1st Experience BERRY 21 March 1750; married 2nd Mrs. Jerusha FOSTER 2 April 1769; died 19 January 1797. iii. Elijah, 3 June 1731. iv. Samuel, 9 April 1753. v. Perez, 20 February 1735-6. vi. Seth, 14 July 1738; married Rebecca PHINNEY 31 October 1760. vii. John, 17 February 1743-4. viii. Deborah, 5 February 1744-5; moved to Hardwick, Mass., married Edward FOSTER 13 January 1762. ix. Chipman, 8 August 1750; married Elizabeth MILLER 8 March 1772."
