"Monday 26th April 1813, Will proven by Robert DOBSON and John GARNAR... I David ROBINSON... therefore constitute and ordain this my last Will and Testament. First I give and bequeath my soul into the hands of that gracious God who gave it and my body I commit to the dust to be buried at the discretion of my friends. I also order that all my just debts and funeral expense be punctually paid. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Peggy my sorrel horse and her saddle, her bed and furniture, cupboard and loom and also that she has the benefit and profit of the land on which I live to a line beginning on the line between David WILSON and me not far from the upper corner of my pasture, thence to a walnut marked thus D standing by a dead white oak thence a straight line through the corner of the little meadow and wheat field to a poplar marked as above near the road that is between the field thence to a red oak marked thus D near the big field and so on to the fence, thence with the fence to where the field by the barns joins it from thence through the big field to a persimmon blazed and so straight on to my back line. I say that all my land south of the line above mentioned I give for the benefit of my wife Peggy until my son William is twenty one years of age so that she gives William reasonable schooling and my daughter Betsy flax ground this year. When my son William is of age my will is that the above mentioned land be equally divided between my wife and son William until the death of my wife Peggy, then my will is that all the land I now own be equally be divided between my two sons James and William to be theirs and their heirs and assigns forever when they get all my land it is my Will that they between them pay to each of my daughters if then living ten Dollars. I give and bequeath to my son James all my land north of the line above mentioned including the still house to him his heirs and assigns forever. I also give to him my Rifle gun and pouch and my waggon on this condition that he pay one half of the value of said waggon back to the estate in property. I give and bequeath to my son in law John McGAUGHEY two sheep, one bee hive my young sow and her three shotes. My will is that all the provisions laid in for the support of my family and stock this season be taken for that use unless there can be some grain spared to sell to pay my debt. My books I give to be equally divided between my wife my two sons and two daughters Jane and Polly. I give my farming tools cooper and share tools to be used by my two sons for the good of the family. I also give unto my son William my saddle to be used by him as soon as he pleaseth. I also Will that my still and all my property not above mentioned by valued by two disinterested men and be equally divided into three parts. One third I give to my wife Peggy, one third to my daughter Jane, and the other to my daughter Polly. I do hereby ratify and confirm this as my last Will and Testamenet in the persons of Robert DOBSON, John CAVNICK and William WILSON as witness my hand this nineteenth day of January 1813... I appoint my wife Peggy and my son James Executors of this my last Will and Testament."
