(12) Obituary via Newspapers.com: The Independent; Juneau, Wisconsin; Friday, May 30, 1930; Page 1
"BARNEY KRESSIN IS LAID AT REST -- Funeral of Well Known Town of Clyman Farmer Held Saturday Afternoon -- The funeral of Bernhard KRESSIN, well known town of Clyman farmer, whose death on Wednesday, May 21, was briefly mentioned in our last issue, was held Saturday afternoon and was largely attended by relatives and friends, a tribute most worthy the respect and esteem which his townspeople and acquaintances reposed in him. Services at 2 o'clock were conducted in Zion Lutheran church, Clyman village, and burial took place in the Lutheran cemetery. Bernhard KRESSIN was a native of the town of Clyman and a lifelong resident of that section of Dodge county. He was born November 23, 1866, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles KRESSIN, prominent among the early pioneer settlers there. His marriage to Miss Ernestina SCHULTZ occurred in 1900. She survives him with four children: Lester, Violet, Marcella and Florentine. Two sisters and three brothers also survive him: Mrs. John SCHULTZ of Clyman, Mrs. Bertram UBER of New Richmond, Frank KRESSIN of the town of Clyman, Edward and Albert KRESSIN of Lone Rock, Iowa. Following his marriage Mr. KRESSIN engaged in farming in the town of Clyman where for thirty years he was one of the enterprising and progressive agriculturalists and dairymen of Dodge county. He took an active part in all neighborhood enterprises and was well known as a citizen of strict integrity and rugged honesty who enjoyed the confidence and high regard of his fellowmen... his death at the comparatively early age of 64 is indeed deeply regretted..."
