Over 150 people were imprisoned for witchcraft, with nineteen accused victims hanged and one crushed to death under stones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/damiavos\/37142720883\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/4450\/37142720883_a1cc4af988_b.jpg\" alt=\"Salem, Witch House (2). Photo by damian entwistle; (CC BY-NC 2.0) \"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewitchhouse.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Salem Witch House<\/a>, the only surviving building with a direct connection to the events (<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/8MVZePKhpz3tDUGHA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">map<\/a>). It was owned by Judge Jonathan Corwin who presided over some of the trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Few More Spots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In a less serious vein, here are some interesting geographic designations (towns, mountains, bodies of water and such) that might be worth visiting on Halloween.
