A similar condition exists with Los Angeles, California and Reno, Nevada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prayitnophotography\/36909782655\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/4441\/36909782655_541f384caa_b.jpg\" alt=\"Malibu : 27 miles of scenic beauty. Photo by Thank You (21 Millions+) views;  (CC BY 2.0)\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Los Angeles conjures up certain images. Think of beaches, surfing and movie stars living on hillsides with expansive views of the Pacific Ocean. Most of us automatically consider the \u201cWest Coast\u201d as being, well, west.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the California coastline curves extensively in its southern section. Parts of the state&#8217;s waterfront actually sits further east than large chunks of Nevada. This includes the city of Reno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/embed?mid=1x8Hur8EinHmXjcGgoJMEguM45FU&amp;hl=en\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know!
