Reason for Visit: I have been to Baltimore frequently. The Wharf Rat is on the long list of Baltimore brewpubs I've visited over the years.

Glassware: This Wharf Rat / Oliver Breweries pint glass features a multi-color design printed on clear class. It takes on a 19th Century nautical theme. The central image of the logo features a sailing ship in the harbor, with another ship further away to its left. It is silhouetted by a blue sky, white puffy clouds and a rising (or setting) sun. It is ringed by what could be a life preserver from a vintage ship, printed with the name of the brewery where the name of the ship would normally be printed. A colorful parrot rests below the image amid tropical leaves that form a border around three-quarters of the circular border. This is perhaps influenced by the sailing ships that used call upon nearby Baltimore harbor on their way to and from exotic ports of call. |
