at their Salt Lake City, Utah, USA location.

Reason for Visit: We were vacationing in Northern Utah, with stops in Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo, Park City and Bear Lake. This area of Utah has a surprising number of brewpubs given the state's tea-totaling reputation. We stopped at the preponderance of them.

Exterior: We arrived at Squatters Pub Brewery's Salt Lake City location after a full day of touring around the historic Temple Square complex. The brewpub is very centrally located within the downtown area. It's also no more than about a block from Red Rock Brewing Company if you want to do a mini brewpub crawl. |

Coaster: The Squatters Pub Brewery coaster is a thicker cardstock than most, with a black on orange circular design. It's actually much more orange than the scan I made, which doesn't really do it much justice. The Salt Lake City building sits directly in the center of the coaster, with the name of the brewpub encircling it. They also note that they are purveyors of fine ales and lagers since 1989 within one of the border bands. Interestingly there appears to be a recycle symbol above the date. I'm not sure if that signals the coaster is made from recycled material or if it's a gentle encouragement to dispose of the coaster properly. |

Interior: The interior is open and airy, with a long bar along one side. Banners hand from the ceiling as testament to various awards won by the brewery. |

Sampler: The sampler featured one of the more interesting presentations I've seen -- the tip of an old ski with holes cut into it to hold the sampler glasses. Notice the laminated description sheet placed next to the sampler. Align the tips of both in the same direction and you'll never get confused. |
