I have visited Selin's Grove Brewing Co.,
in Selinsgrove, Snyder County Pennsylvania, USA.

Brewery/Brewpub Location Map

Reason for Visit: We were on our way on a trip to New York's Finger Lakes region [see my Finger Lakes page]. One of our overnight stops was near Williamsport, Pennsylvania [see my Williamsport page], and we used that as our opportunity to stop in the town of Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. Few drives are more scenic that Route 15 alongside the banks and through the valleys of the Susquehanna River in Central Pennsylvania. Stopping at Selin's Grove Brewing Co. for a meal and some wonderfully hand-crafted beverages only added to the experience. The brewpub itself is cozy and inviting, and definitely worth a stop if you happen to find yourself in the area.

When you face the building from Market Street -- the main thoroughfare through the town of Selinsgrove -- you will have to walk down a flight of outdoor stairs to a courtyard entrance into the brewpub. Rather than park on Market Street, a better choice is to drive around to the back of the building where there is a small parking lot right next to the brewpub.
Selin's Grove Brewing Co. Pint Glass Glassware: The Selin's Grove Brewing Co. Pint Glass features their familiar logo.
Selin's Grove Brewing Co. Growler Glassware: And the logo extends to their growler as well. The growler itself is composed of dark amber glass to block harmful ultraviolet light.
Selin's Grove Brewing Co. Growler Glassware: The back of the Selin's Grove growler reads, "To ensure peak freshness our beer must be refrigerated, kept out of direct sunlight and be consumed within seven days. Please clean your Growler by rinsing thoroughly with hot water immediately after emptying. When you visit us again bring your Growler back for another fill!"

The beer we brought off premises didn't last long enough for direct sunlight to make much of a difference. It was so good it was gone within a couple of hours. I'm not sure it even made it to the refrigerator.
