I have visited Pints Pub,
in the City of Denver, Denver County, Colorado, USA.

Reason for Visit: I happened to be in Denver on business and stopped by the brewpub one evening. Pints Pub is centered around a theme of recreating the atmosphere of a traditional British pub. This is reflected in the name they've chosen for the pub, the styles of beer they produce, the food they serve, and even down to the antique London phone booth sitting just outside the establishment.

Coaster: The coaster for the Pints Pub Alchemy Ale features a wizard, or probably more properly an alchemist, as its central focus on its three color circular design. The alchemist faces to the upper right, holding an orb in his right hand and a staff topped with another orb in his left. He wears a loosely-fitted cape festooned with stars, a pointed cap, and he's grown a long flowing beard. In other words, he takes on the appearance of a stereotypical wizard. He stands in front of a purple background that contains an upward arc with a rendering of the phases of the moon. The image is banded by the name of the beer along the top, various decorative elements along the sides, and footed by the stylized Union Jack of the brewpub logo. The entire design is ringed by a wide white border band. |

Coaster: Their Dark Stare Ale coaster -- the specimen I collected admittedly has some condition issues -- focuses on a dragon as its central image in this circular design. The dragon rests inside a large outline star that takes up the majority of the middle interior space. This rests on a dark tan oval adorned with stars and a crescent moon, which in turn is ringed by a band containing the name of the beer on the upper arc and footed by the brewpub logo. A large black border band completes the image. |
