I have visited NORTH EAST BREWING COMPANY,
in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA.

Brewery/Brewpub Location Map

Status: apparently closed.

Reason for Visit: I was in town on business. This was the only Boston brewpub that I managed to visit that was not right in the middle of downtown. However, it was conveniently accessible from the "T" (Boston's subway system).

[North East Brewing Company Coaster] Front of Coaster: The North East Brewing Company Coaster coaster is a circular design with two colors, blue and brown, on a beige background. It features a man carrying a large wooden barrel, hearkening back to an earlier era, perhaps the early 20th Century. This ties the present craft brewing movement to its its traditional forbearers, drawing a distinction between itself and modern, impersonal, industrial brewing. The name and location of the brewpub form a border arcing around the edge of the coaster.
[North East Brewing Company Pint Glass] Glassware: The symbolism continues on the North East Brewing Company Pint Glass. In one sense the name of the brewpub refers to its geographic location within the United States. By adding the hurricane flags and the motto "there's a storm brewing in Boston," it ties back to the classically named storm, the nor'easter, which is the bane of the the New England coastline.
[North East Brewing Company Pint Glass - Back] Glassware - back: It's easy to tell when I visited the brewpub. On the back of the pint glass is the slogan, "Brew2k, beer for the new millennium." Obviously this was during all the Y2K hype that seems to quaint today.

Sample list of beers formerly produced by North East Brewing Company
