I have visited Kassik's Kenai Brew Stop,
near the towns of Nikiski and Kenai, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, USA.

Reason for Visit: We were in Alaska on vacation for a couple of weeks, spending most of our time on the Kenai Peninsula. There are a surprising number of breweries and brewpubs on the peninsula. We weren't sure if we'd have time to stop at Kassik's but we saw a sign along the Kenai Spur Highway when we were traveling to Captain Cook State Recreation Area, and figured, why not?

Sampler Glass: The Kassik's sampler is made with white artwork on clear glass. It features a bubbling pilsner glass flanked on both sides with barley stalks. The brewery name is drawn across the logo with the final phrase, "brew stop" on a ribbon flowing across the botton. Below that there is a notation that the brewery was established in 2004, and the slogan, "brewing quality craft ales." The logo is enclosed within an octagon like a stop sign, thus tying into the brew STOP theme. |

Growler: The growler contains the same logo along with address information and the website URL. We took our growler along with us to the house we were staying at in Cooper Landing, which is where I took this photograph. |

Apparel: Kassik's has a number of T-shirt designs and we chose one for their Moose Point Porter. It features a moose drooling over a glass of porter sitting atop a nearby tree stump. Snowy mountains grace the background. The shirt further proclaims that "...it Moose be Good!" |

Exterior: Kassik's is a small, unassuming operation in a location that's a bit off the beaten track. They were doing a steady business of pint and growler sales the afternoon we arrived, though. We're glad we saw the sign along the Kenai Spur and decided to stop for a visit. |

Equipment: This gives a pretty good indication of the size of the brewery. It's pretty small. It's pretty amazing that they produced such a variety of beers in a confined space like this. |

Display: This is the display wall behind the taps where visitors get their tastings and regulars get their growlers filled. Their primary label and apparel artwork can be seen along the wall as can a hockey jersey. Is that a reflection of me taking the photograph on the right side of the mirror? Why yes, I do believe that's the case. |
