I have visited Karl Strauss Brewing Company,
at their location in downtown San Diego, California, USA.

Brewery/Brewpub Location Map

Reason for Visit: While I have been in San Diego for a variety of reasons, the time I visited Karl Strauss Brewing Company, I was there on business.

Karl Strauss Brewing Company Coaster Front of Coaster. This Karl Strauss Brewing Company coaster for their amber lager is multiple colors in a circular configuration. It features the image of master brewer Karl Strauss conducting a toast with a glass of pilsner. Identifying ribbons and text blocks appear above and below the image. Barley stalks and hop cones adorn the left and right sides. The trademarked slogan "San Diego's Original Local Beer" appears within the outer border band.
Karl Strauss Brewing Company Coaster Front of Coaster. This Karl Strauss Brewing Company coaster for their summer gold features an old wooden station wagon (known affectionately as a "woodie") with a surfboard hanging out the rear hatch, much like something that would be seen in a 1950's beach movie or an old Beach Boys song.

"Summer Gold

A REFRESHINGLY CRISP GOLDEN PILSENER

Summer Gold is a true, Bohemian-style Pilsener with a delicious golden malt body and a refreshing European hop finish. It's as easy to drink and enjoy as watching the surf on a hot summer day.

Founded in 1989 on the beaches of San Diego, Karl Strauss Brewing Company is committed to crafting beers as greas as the Southern California lifestyle. More than 25 different beers are lovingly brewed from Master Brewer Karl Strauss's private recipes in our small local brewery. Enjoy Karl's good cheer today!"
