in Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York, USA..

Reason for Visit: We were in the Finger Lakes region of New York and used Ithaca as our base for exploring other areas [also see my Ithaca page]. Ithaca brewing is located just outside of town and is easily accessible. The have beer on tap for sampling, bottles for off premise consumption, and homebrew supplies for do-it-yourself enthusiasts. They also have a wide selection of hand-crafted soft drinks. Their products can be found in many of the supermarkets in the area.

Photograph: Entrance. The large sign says it all. Ithaca produces both beer and soda. They ask for people to "support your local brewery" and indeed I did, leaving with a number of bottled beers, a growler, and some root beer. |
