I have visited Great Waters Brewing Company,
in St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, USA.

Brewery/Brewpub Location Map

Reason for Visit: We were on our way across the state to begin a multi-day trip down the Great River Road, mainly in Wisconsin along the Mississippi River but also portions in Minnesota and Iowa. The brewpub is located in downtown St. Paul in a pedestrian area known as the West 7th Place Mall. It's a highly urban area but there are plenty of conveniently located nearby parking garages, so no worries about finding a place to leave the car.

Great Waters Brewing Company Glass Pint Glass: This Great Waters Brewing Company logo pint glass appears in its natural element, from a tabletop within the brewpub itself. It includes its characteristic "G" intertwined with a "W" inside of a small circle at the top, center of the design. Stalks flank either side of the circle, perhaps stylized wheat stalks although it's hard to tell. The name of the brewpub appears in the lower two-thirds of the image with the words Great Waters in a much larger font than Brewing Company.
Great Waters Brewing Company Exterior Exterior: We chose to dine inside the restaurant only because all the tables were taken at the outdoor patio. This was a pleasant summer evening and the inviting outdoor space would have been the place to be. However I wanted my beer more than I wanted to wait for a table, so indoors we went. I'd love to check out that outdoor patio if ever I have a little more time to spend in St. Paul. Most of the year, I imagine, it might be a little bit less hospitable out there in the open.
Great Waters Brewing Company Bar Brewing Equipment: We took a table by the bar -- always a good place to be -- which also afforded us an opportunity to check out Great Water's brewing equipment behind the bar on the other side of a glass panel. Maybe dining indoors isn't so bad after all.

The brewpub is located in the Hamm Building, a 1915 landmark structure with amazing terra cotta ornamentation. It has a connection to the old Hamm Brewery family although the brewery itself was located elsewhere in St. Paul. One can find several instances of Hamm's Beer breweriana at Great Waters including barroom advertising featuring the famous Hamm's Beer Bear (look diagonally up to the left of the bartender's head).
