Brewery/Brewpub Location Map

Reason for Visit: I happened to be in Denver on business and stopped by the brewery for one of the regularly-scheduled tours. Flying Dog had one of the best brewery tours I've ever taken. The tour was comprehensive and close-up, the hospitality room was generous and congenial, and as an added bonus we also got to check out their micro-distillery. I hope to see if I can replicate the experience someday in their Frederick, Maryland brewery where all production was moved by 2008 (they took over the facility of the old Frederick Brewing Co.)

Flying Dog Brewery Coaster Front of Coaster: The front of the Flying Dog Brewery coaster features a quirky, slightly off-beat design, much like the brewery itself. The brewery bucks the ordinary in a positive way and this is reflected in all the artwork, whether for their coasters, their bottle labels or their other promotional materials. In this instance the orientation turns a square coaster into a diamond configuration with the eponymous and highly stylized flying dog and its irregular script taking to the air at the central focus. Border edges seem to have sprouted wild plant life in silhouette. The coaster also includes website and copyright information.
Flying Dog Brewery Coaster - Back Back of Coaster: The reverse of this same coaster continues with a similar theme with the addition of a quote from the brewery's patron saint and influence, the legendary journalist Hunter S. Thompson: "Good People Drink Good Beer." It's hard to argue with that!
Flying Dog Brewery Bottle Cap Bottle Cap: The flying dog appears once again on their bottle cap. It includes the slogan "Cut the Leash" in an obvious reference to differentiate themselves from the mass-produced product consumed by the majority of mainstream beer drinkers. Normally I don't place bottle caps on these pages because I don't generally collect them. However, this is one I got at the brewery. When you arrive they give visitors four bottle caps, each of which can be redeemed for a sample at the hospitality room. It's a simple way to make sure people don't over-indulge. I got all four samples but somehow held onto the final bottle cap and found it in my pocket at the end of the day.
