Brewery/Brewpub Location Map

Reason for Visit: We were visiting Bend, Oregon for eight nights and decided to visit every brewery and brewpub in town, eventually accomplishing every stop on the legendary Bend Ale Trail.

Arriving at Brew Wërks Old Mill Exterior: The Brew Wërks brewpub is located in Bend's Old Mill District. The building seems like an odd location for a brewpub. It looks more like an office park from the outside. The entrance by the parking lot definitely said Old Mill Brew Wërks on it so we knew we were at the right place. I have to admit I was a little concerned by the external appearance, hoping that it didn't foreshadow a sterile, corporate approach to brewing.
The Bar at Brew Wërks Interior: All concerns dissipated as soon as we walked into Brew Wërks. The office building lobby interior gave way to something completely different. Brew Wërks made the space their own, and it looked considerably different from the inside. It seems to be the classic case of not judging a book by its cover.
Brew Wërks Medicine Bottle Growler Growler: Brew Wërks uses a medicine bottle style of growler for off premise consumption. They have an interesting logo which I'm still trying to decipher. It looks a lot like a mill or hopper as seems to be denoted by the wheat stalks dropping into the triangular structure at the top. The hops vines, leaves and cones are also readily identifiable. However it almost has a robotic look to it with what looks like gears or flywheels serving as eyes. And what to make of the number 33 off to the right side?

Items featured on these breweriana pages are personal souvenirs of my visits to these locations, and an expression of the events and travels leading to their collection. They are not for sale or for trade.
