Google Maps Street View: Here is the latest image of Boston Beer Works from the Google Maps Street View. Circle the image around 360 degrees and you will notice that Boston Beer Works is directly cross the street from Fenway Park. My visit took place just after baseball season ended but I can imagine how crowded this place must get before or after a game. It drew a decent number of patrons even in the middle of a workday afternoon during the off season.
Coaster: I managed to grab a coaster for my collection but of course got one with a nice brown beer stain on it which I didn't notice until I got it home. Oh well, I guess I'll have to go back and get another one. It's an unusual shape and I'm not sure I have another one quite like this one -- it simulates the shape of a bottle cap before its crimped onto the top of a bottle. Other than that it's a pretty utilitarian two-color design (black and green) printed onto a white background, providing the name of the brewery. The back of the coaster is almost entirely green with the brewpub's website www.beerworks.net
lettered in white.
Boston Beer Works - Exterior: This is an exterior shot that I took of Boston Beer Works from the corner of Yawkey Way and Brookline Avenue. The brewpub is on Brookline. This, I think, really demonstrates its proximity to Fenway Park because the red railing on the lower-right portion of the photograph is part of the park itself and is used to help channel the crowds. Literally it's one crosswalk away.
The Bar at the Boston Beer Works: Boston Beer Works is a fairly large space as can be gauged by the length of the bar (and I wasn't even sitting all the way at the end). There is a large restaurant space off to the right but outside of the frame of this photograph. My apologies for the poor resolution of this image but unfortunately I had only a mobile phone camera with me at the time.
Available Beers During the Visit: They also had an amazing number of beers on tap, which they displayed on the wall on removable placards. When one beer ran its course and another one came into the lineup they could simply switch the signs around. You can also look at the variety of beers available in the previous photograph (look at the number of taps on the bartop). I thought it was quite helpful of them to color the signs in such a way as to denote the hue of each beer. Harvest Ale, for example, has been printed on a golden background while Black Rider is printed on an obsidian background. Others pretty much cover the spectrum of possibilities.
