"Dr. C. F. (Frank) Hull, son of Col. E. S. Hull; was a career doctor in Carthage. Thanks to Frances Tiller, his daughter, we have some of his letters written home from Medical School."

- Decided to pursue a medical career after the death of his first wife, attending Tennessee Medical College in Memphis, the University of Texas Medical College in Galveston, and the New Orleans Polyclinic School of Medicine and Surgery.
- Began practicing medicine in 1898 and "continued until shortly before his death in 1947."
- "The Hull home was a landmark in Carthage for many years and Dr. C. F. Hull was a familiar figure as he made his house calls."
