"83 Year Old Doctor Dies; Funeral Set. Dr. Milo M. Scheid of Rosendale; War Veteran.

Dr. Milo M. SCHEID, 83, of the Village of Rosendale where he was a practicing physician for 58 years, died as 12:45 a.m. Sunday at Ripon Municipal Hospital, following a one-year illness. Dr. Scheid was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School, University of Chicago and Rush Medical College. He interned in Oshkosh and lived and practiced his profession in Rosendale since August of 1909. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Rosendale Chapter III F and A. M.; Rosendale Chapter 68, Order of the Eastern Stars; American Medical Association; Wisconsin Medical Association; Fond du Lac County Medical Association and former president of this organization. Dr. SCHEID was on the staff as St. Agnes Hospital, Oshkosh, active in civic work in Rosendale and past president of the Rosendale School Board. He was an examining officer during World War I and World War II and celebrated his 50th year in medicine at Rosendale High School in August 1959. Born August 25, 1883, in Pierce County, he was the son of Frederick and Bertha SCHMIDT SCHEID. He married Harriet M. SIZER June 3, 1909, in the Town of Lamartine. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Butte, Mont. in 1957 [sic.]. Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Alfred GRIMM of Green Lake; one son, Myron F. SCHEID of Ripon; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dr. Harriet G. SCHEID on Aug. 30, 1966, and one half-brother, Judge Arthur F. SCHEID. Friends may call from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Chandlish Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, Rev. Owen W. STEWART and Rev. Donald W. OLSKI officiating. Burial will be in the Rosendale Cemetery."
