"Carthage Native Dies Tuesday in Amarillo. Mrs. Anna BAKER DANIELS, 85, died in Amarillo last Tuesday. She was a native of Carthage, born Nov. 27, 1873, and was the daughter of Mrs. Emmie HULL BAKER and granddaughter of the late Col. Edwin Sealey HULL. She was the widow of Charles C. DANIELS, who died in 1930. She was also a member of the First Methodist Church of Carthage. Mrs. DANIELS taught in the Panhandle area for more than 50 years. She served as the principal of the B. M. BAKER School in Pampa, named for her father, who was Texas’ first superintendent of public instruction. Final rites were held at Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel with burial in Llano Cemetery, Amarillo. Surviving are her son, B. M. DANIELS of Amarillo, a grandson B. M. DANIELS Jr. of Waco, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Herbert SATTERFIELD, Amarillo."
