I know there are a number of geocachers who read the Twelve Mile Circle on a regular basis, so here is a link for members of that community who may not have seen this yet. It appeared in the print edition of Washington Post this morning, and I see it is now available online:

I’m not a geocacher myself — it’s a little too organized for my tastes — but I found the article and the issues it addressed to be rather pertinent. I don’t think it’s just the geocachers who will find themselves being scrutinized either. I’m sure my localized highpoint searches would seem a little suspicious to some people in a post 9/11 world, which is why I try to complete my tasks very quickly in a low-key manner.
